Group Training Australia (SA) Awards
The 2011 Group Training Australia (SA) Awards were proudly presented by His Excellency Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC RANR, Governor of South Australia and patron of Group Training Australia (SA) at Government House on 12 September 2011.
Group Training Australia (SA) Awards were proudly supported by the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology, MEGT and Employers Mutual Limited, Business SA and ATEC.
These awards recognise and honour the achievements of apprentices & trainees including Indigenous and Australian School-based applicants. Group Training Organisations are invited to participate in all four categories. The winners of each category then represent South Australia at the Group Training Australia Awards held every 18 months at the National Conference.
Awards are presented across four categories and the winning applicant is selected based upon their performance in:
1. Career and study achievements
2. Communication, team and leadership skills
3. Other pursuits
4. Ability to represent the national training system at a broader level

Daniel Pinkerton from Murraylands Training & Employment Daniel is in the 4th year of an Automotive Mechanical Technology (Diesel) apprenticeship. His host employer, Mount Barker Truck & Bus Repairs describes him as an exceptional employee. From employer, customers & colleagues alike, Daniel has earned high praise & respect for the quality of his workmanship, his conscientiousness & commitment to his career. Daniel is also embarking on further study towards a dual qualification in heavy on-road vehicles & earthmoving equipment. |
